Our Services
Cleanings and Exams
The ADA recommends that patients receive at least a cleaning and an exam every 6 months. These routine appointments are preventative and allow the dentist to detect any cavities or gum disease in an earlier stage of the disease process. We may take x-rays during your appointment to help evaluate any other treatment that you may need. If you are at high risk for gum disease or cavities, we may recommend more frequent appointments.
Composite Fillings
We use white fillings to repair teeth that have mild to moderate damage from decay and wear. The damage may have been caused from cavities or wear. The filling is used to restore the tooth and your smile. Fillings can also be used to fix cosmetic issues with patients. Bonding can also mask discolored, misaligned, and misshaped teeth.
Scaling Root Planing
Do you have sore gums? Do you have bleeding gums? Do you have periodontal or gum disease? Scaling root planning is also known as a deep cleaning. It is used when you have deep gum pockets. The calculus/tartar and bacteria are debrided from under your gums to help stabilize your periodontal status. This procedure can reduce your gum pocketing and reduce bone loss to make your teeth more stable. After a deep cleaning we recommend that you come in more frequently for your cleanings to help maintain your periodontal health.
Periodontal Maintenance
If you have gum disease or periodontal disease we may recommend that you come in for periodontal maintenance to keep your mouth stable. This cleaning will remove any bacteria and debris under your gums to help maintain a healthy smile.
Root Canal Therapy
If you have a toothache you may need a root canal. Root canals are performed when there is inflammation in the pulp which contains the nerve and blood supply of the tooth. During this procedure, the pulp is removed, the canals are disinfected, and an inert root filling is placed. After a root canal is performed, a crown is usually required to restore the tooth back to function.
